Goshen Resort

This place is usually crowded. We went on a weekday morning so there were only a few people when we visited. Goshen resort might look like it is huge and spacious in photos but it is actually not that spacious in real life.
The “Dambana ni Yahweh” (Shrine of Yahweh) or the coliseum is the main attraction of Goshen Resort. It is inspired by the one in Rome. It is one of the most photographed attractions in this place. There are actually a lot of couples who take their prenup photos here. It is also beautiful at night time since this place will be lit up.

The owner of this resort is actually a Christian. The Dambana ni Yahweh is similar to the colosseum where the severe persecution of Christians in the past. This resort was originally supposed to be for holding events for evangelical groups.

Wow, I would never have guessed that this place was in the Phillippines. It looks straight out of ancient Rome. It even comes complete with a Game of Thrones – throne. What an awesome looking place to stay.

This Resort looks amazingly stunning. And it has this European vibe .

I am going to have to admit this, if I was in the Philippines, I dont think I would want to come here as I am European and come across all this all the time on the road in Europe. 😀 I think this resort is more for the locals and for those who have never been to Europe who would love to experience Europe a little, am I right? But looking at the Goshen Resort, it looks very clean, and the detail is fantastic. Looks like nothing was missed out here and the smoothie sure does look refreshing 🙂

So has Goshen Resort been in construction for all these years and it’s still in the soft opening phase? It looks absolutely gorgeous though!

What a unique attraction worthy of a day trip from Manila. Thanks for putting this destination on my radar!

The building that looks like the Coliseum is certainly not something I would expect to see in a resort in the Philippines. I can see why people might want to have wedding photos done here. I love that the day fee is so reasonable if you want to check out the Goshen Resort and not stay. The clock tower and Cafe Roma buildings also look like interesting attractions.

I didn’t know that the nice European-style resort is located just 2 hours far from the capital Manila. In your blog the photographs are really just mind blowing and the architecture of the resort is fantastic. Especially the Shrine of Yayweh is the one that caught my attention – it really looks like the coliseum in Rome. I would flood my Instagram with pictures of this location if I ever visit here.
Clarice
Wow! I had no idea that we have this in the Philippines. Initially, I thought that this is somewhere abroad. Thank you for sharing this hidden gem. Will definitely visit this should we have a trip up north. 🙂

I love this kind of thing! I have visited similar places in Japan. It is interesting to see how people think of Europe!!
It’s pretty interesting that it was events for evangelical groups. Is it ever used for them now?

What an interesting place to visit in the Phillipines. Roman ruins are cool. When I traveled to Vienna, Austria, we got to visit actual roman ruins underneath the city. It was really cool. This place looks great too. Thanks for sharing your trip and photos.

At first when I saw your cover photo of Goshen resort, I thought it is from Europe. It really is inspired from European architecture and that too a great place in Philippines. The “Dambana ni Yahweh” (Shrine of Yahweh) or really look like the main attraction of Goshen Resort. And it too looks like straight from Rome. Also as you said that it is beautiful at night time since this place will be lit up, I would love to see in night time too.

This resort looks amazing! Before I read your comments about it being based on the Colosseum, that was the first thing I thought of. Those prices are great, too, for all that you get there.
Soumya Gayatri
This looks like a quaint European castle instead of a resort in the Philippines. Goshen Resort definitely looks like a great place to get some photographs. And I am glad that you mention you went on a weekday morning. Seems like you got some great shots without any crowds. Will note down that tip.

I would never have guessed this place was in the Philippines. It looks so European, but of course the weather should have been a hint that it isn’t Europe.:) Beautiful!
Stephanie
I love “undiscovered” destinations. This post was so exciting to read! Cafe Roma sounded delicious, anywhere that sells “cinco queso” pasta has my vote. Goshen Resort looks absolutely wonderful. All of your photos are beautiful!

First of all, those are beautiful photos. I had been to an Italian village in Tianjin, China, which felt a bit out of place, but was real interesting. Now I see even more Italian vibe in the Philippines. It seems Italy is inspiring more than Italian food these days and, quite honestly, I like that.
Fae Celine
I love Italian architecture and food. I hope to visit the Italian village in Tianjin, China someday.
Divyakshi Gupta
Wow! Who would think that this is in Philippines and not in Europe! Loved the architecture! The colosseum like pillars are so akin to the ones in Rome. Love that you dont have to necessarily stay here and day trips are possible 🙂
Alex Engineer On Tour
Heh, well, I am from Europe and it is pretty fun to see a place like that on the other side of the globe. It isn’t obviously the same to the originals, but that looks like a fun place to hang out. Also, by the look of your photos, there are waaaaay less tourists.
Woraporn
This resort seem like art architecture. There have room for family travel which is suit for my family. Philipphines seem like Europe in some a Part of hotel. This is a place to pin for.
Angela
What an unusual place to find in the Philippines. Especially the game of thrones chair!
Jayashree Sengupta
Just the insta-worthy place for a vacation. Loved reading through the words. And the pictures are truly awesome.
