The largest Disney store in the world is found in Shanghai, China. Shanghai Disney Store is located in Lujiazui in Pudong area in Shanghai. It is also near the Oriental Pearl Tower. We went on a Wednesday morning and it was not crowded at all, it was also actually our final day in Shanghai. If you are planning a trip to China, there are also several wonderful Discover China tours available.

Shanghai Disney Store
It was around 10 A.M and the store has just opened so there was not much crowd yet. My brother kept on asking me if there’s a second floor. I have actually misunderstood him. I thought he was telling me that there is a second floor. A lot of the staffs keeps on saying something in Mandarin, most probably welcoming guests in. My brother understands Mandarin and I thought he was telling me that there’s a second floor based on what he has heard from the staffs. When I finally understood that he was actually asking me, I told him that I didn’t know. It didn’t looked like it has (tell me if I’m wrong). He then asked me how is this the largest Disney Store when the one in Tokyo has three floors.
It is the largest for me since it has an outdoor plaza where you can see a Mickey-shaped flower area. You can also see a Disney clock tower where you can find some of the fabulous five characters. Shanghai Disney store is also the largest Disney store in the world since it has the largest retail space of 9,257 square feet.
I love how you can have the Disney store, Oriental Pearl Tower and the Disney Clock Tower in one photo. I used the wide angle on my Huawei P30 to include everything in one shot.

Shanghai Disney Store Clock Tower
You can also meet some of the Fab 5 characters. Minnie mouse, Donald duck, Goofy and Pluto can be found on the Disney clock tower.
I hate spending money. But I am such a big fan of Disney that whenever I see Disney merchandise, I cannot help but buy. I already did a lot of damages to my wallet when I bought so much stuff at Shanghai Disneyland. Read until the end to know what I have bought in Shanghai Disney store.
I am normally not a big spender. Even if we are traveling, I am not as tempted to buy a lot of souvenirs compared to other family members. I told myself that I am not going to Shanghai Disney store to buy more stuff. But I ended up doing more damages to my wallet.
Frozen 2 was everywhere. Even in Shanghai Disneyland, there were a lot of merchandise. It was confusing that they were already selling a lot of merchandise when the movie has not even come out yet. I saw in one of the posters that the movie was already out since mid-October in China. I guess that’s the reason why they were everywhere.
If you are a big Star wars fan, you’ll definitely love these, especially the droids. They were very expensive though but the droids are remote controlled that’s why they are a bit pricey. If I only did not bought so much stuff at Shanghai Disneyland, I might have considered buying R2D2. I love BB8 too but I love R2D2 more.
If you are collecting tsum tsums, there are a lot in Shanghai Disney store. I started collecting tsum tsums when I visited Hong Kong Disneyland but when I visited Tokyo and Shanghai Disneyland, I did not feel like collecting anymore. It’s not because I don’t want to anymore but more like, I still don’t know where to display them. I don’t have a lot of space to display stuffs in my room so I won’t buy them for now. I really love them though, they are just so cute. It is actually the perfect souvenir for friends and family since they are also very lightweight and won’t take too much space and who does not want a tsum tsum?
I did not really like the Disney pen selections. I love the ones in Tokyo Disneyland more. These Disney pens are also perfect for souvenirs too. It is very practical since your friends or family can actually use them instead of just displaying them.
I bought one mystery box where I don’t know what I will get. I would love to get any one of them though. Donald Duck is the one I want to get the most but I would be happy to get Minnie, Pluto or even uncle Scrooge. The one the I did not want to get the most is Donald’s nephew ( I forgot his name) and Pete (not sure if the name is correct) . Read till the end to know which one I got. Can you guess what I got from the mystery box? Do you think I got what I wanted the most or the one I did not want to get?
Peter pan is one of my favorite Disney films. I rarely see any Peter Pan merchandise but when I see one, I no longer have space on my luggage. I was also really worried that I would exceed the baggage allowance. This pen holder is so beautiful but it is also very heavy. Next time……. 🙁
For the ladies, if you are a Disney fan and love to wear accessories, these are perfect for you. I wanted to buy the Donald Duck and Ariel necklace but I don’t wear accessories much so I didn’t think it was practical for me to buy them.
Of course, key chain will always be included when we shop for some souvenirs. There are also frozen 2 key chains. Other characters are marvel, Dumbo, Marie, Toy story and many more.
Shanghai Disney Store Haul
Just like in my Shanghai Disneyland Haul, I bought another Frozen 2 merchandise. I love stationary, especially notebooks. This Frozen notebook is unique and it makes it more special since it has a lock. I love writing notes, ideas, thoughts, anything that comes to my mind. I don’t really like it when someone reads them though since they are a bit personal. Although I’m confident that my family members are not really nosy, it still makes me feel better that it has a lock and I am the only one who can open it. My mom wanted to buy this Marie key chain since it reminded her of our pet that is also a white cat.
Yup, I’m really not a lucky person. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed but I love Donald Duck and this is his nephew (I still can’t remember his name) so it made me feel a bit better. He is still cute though.
I actually did not buy a lot of stuffs at Shanghai Disney store since we already packed our bags. We left them at the luggage storage at Pudong airport before exploring the city so we don’t have much space left.
What do you think about Shanghai Disney store? Did you like it? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I actually had a higher expectation but it was not that bad. The Disney store in Tokyo is still my favorite even though it is much smaller in terms of space, I love their kawaii vibes.
As always, thank you so much for reading! I always appreciate every single one of you. 🙂
