Shanghai Disneyland is the 3rd Disney park that I have visited. It is also my goal to visit all the Disney parks in the world. It would be a dream come true to have a chance to visit Walt Disney World in 2021 for their 50th anniversary so I am currently saving up for it. One of the things that I was looking forward to this trip is to buy some Shanghai Disneyland merchandise. If you do not have time to visit Shanghai Disneyland on your trip, you can also visit Shanghai Disney store. It is the largest Disney store in the world.

I was not able to do a lot of shopping as I thought I would. That’s because I only booked the 1 Day Pass and it was also my first visit so I prioritized the rides and shows. I was really looking forward to buying some unique souvenirs since I saw a lot of unique Shanghai Disneyland merchandise online. However, I did not see a lot of the unique Chinese themed souvenirs during my trip. I did not see any Chinese/Oriental themed Minnie mouse ears, the garden of twelve friends and other Chinese-themed souvenirs. But I still enjoyed shopping for Shanghai Disneyland merchandise in between rides and shows.
Shanghai Disneyland Merchandise
Minnie Mouse Ears
Whenever I visit a Disney park, the first thing that I would do is buy a Minnie Mouse ears. Even if it is not a Disney park, I would still purchase one just like on my trip to Universal Studios Japan a few months ago. I purchased a hello kitty headband and I got a lot of compliments from the staff at USJ.
There were a lot of options to choose from but I bought the rose gold one. I saw a lot of Disney YouTubers showing this particular Minnie mouse ears in their Disney hauls and I instantly liked it.
There were also some Christmas themed as well as character themed ears. If you are not a fan of ears headband, there are also alternatives such as Disney hats.
Disney Clothing/ Apparel
Disney clothing is one of the top souvenirs that I buy for friends and family since they are also practical souvenirs. If you don’t know what Shanghai Disneyland Merchandise to buy, clothing is a great choice.
Fridge magnets are one of my most favorite travel souvenirs. I love collecting them and displaying them on my fridge. It is one of the best souvenirs since they are also very lightweight. You can look back and reminisce about your trip every time you open the fridge.
If you are not a fan of fridge magnets, you can buy keychains instead. I used to love collecting keychains but as the years went by, I stopped buying them since I have too many that I cannot use some of them. Some keychains ended up on box storage that will never see the light again so I feel like it’s a waste. However, I started to buy them again since instead of using them as keychains for my keys, I display them instead.
I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan. It is definitely one of my most favorite Disney films. Belle is my favorite Disney princess. I feel like she is very relatable since I also enjoy reading books. When I saw these Beauty and the Beast figurines, I just know that I wanted to collect them all. Unfortunately, I was not able to buy any because I was worried that I would exceed my baggage allowance since I also bought a lot of mugs. However, I found out that I can actually buy them on Amazon which is really great since I don’t need to wait for my next trip to a Disney park to buy them.
Dolls / Toys
This is perfect for kids and kids at heart. There are so many Disney princesses dolls to choose from. You can buy your favorite Disney princess or if you want, you can collect them all. I also love how great the quality of these Disney princess dolls.
I’ve also seen so many Toy story 4 merchandise during my trip. So if you’re a big fan of the Toy Story series, you’ll definitely like this.

Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears
This is the best Minnie Mouse Ears from my collection
Shanghai Disneyland Pins
You can also trade pins with cast members in Shanghai Disneyland. I am not really a big fan of pin trading but I love collecting pins. I bought the Shanghai Disneyland Castle, Chinese Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the Infinity Gauntlet pins.
Shanghai Disneyland Castle Fridge Magnet
There were a lot of choices for Shanghai Disneyland fridge magnets. I chose this 3D castle magnet since it’s very unique to Shanghai Disneyland. There was also the rubberized version that is much cheaper but the quality is also not as great as this 3D version. I also bought other fridge magnets as souvenirs for friends and family.
I also love collecting mugs from my travels. I also started collecting Disney mugs since my first Disney park experience in Hong Kong Disneyland. I bought one Frozen mug five years ago in Hong Kong Disneyland. That was also my first and only Disney mug since I was not able to find any Disney mug that I liked when I visited Tokyo Disney Sea. Unfortunately, that mug slipped from my mom’s hands while she was washing the mug 🙁 Frozen 2 merchandise was everywhere and I was so glad that I bought this Frozen 2 mug. On one side is Elsa and on the other side is Anna.
You already know I am a big fan of Beauty and the Beast so when I saw this Chip mug, I just know that I need to buy it. This is not the same from the ‘Mrs Potts and Chip figurine’ set above. This one is really a mug that I can use to drink my tea or coffee. This is definitely one of my favorite purchases at Shanghai Disneyland.
I was so worried about bringing these two mugs home but the cast members did a great job of wrapping them. I placed them on my backpack/shoulder/duffel bag and aside from these two, I also placed all other fragile items we purchased from our trip. It’s a great thing that the bag was so spacious, although my shoulder hurt afterward, it was all worth it since nothing was broken. I did not regret purchasing this travel backpack.
I admit that this is not a practical thing to buy. It’s a bit pricey and I’ll just display them in my room. But when I saw this in one of the shops, I felt like I need to buy them. I was undecided and hesitant to buy them when I first saw them. I saw this in the shop after the Peter Pan ride and we went to lunch afterward. Later that evening, while we were waiting for the fireworks, we went back to the shop to buy some souvenirs and I just feel like I will regret not buying them so I bought them.
I also bought Anna and Elsa dolls five years ago at Hong Kong Disneyland but the ones I bought now actually sings. Anna sings ‘The next right thing’ and Elsa sings ‘Into the Unknown’. You just need to twist their hands for them to sing.
You can also check out what I did in Shanghai Disneyland and in China on my Instagram stories highlight under China.

These two pens are actually not for me. Aurora is my mother’s favorite Disney princess and Ariel is my aunt’s favorite. They have other options as well such as Belle, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and others. I was supposed to buy Belle since she is my favorite but my brother said that she does not look as good as Aurora and Ariel. Belle’s face was weird and was a bit different from the movie unlike Aurora and Ariel so I end up not buying it.
Disney Christmas Ornaments
I just love to collect a lot of things. I am starting a new collection and that is to buy a Disney Christmas ornament every time we visit a Disney park. I plan to write on the bottom part of the ornaments the date and which park I bought them. In that way, I can look back to my memories whenever I set up the Christmas tree every holiday season.
These souvenir mugs can be found in the restaurants in the park. When you buy your drink, you can choose to add a souvenir mug instead of the usual plastic ones. We also bought a souvenir mug from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Japan a few months ago.
