Ichiran Ramen Japan – The Most Popular Ramen in Japan
The first meal I had, when visited Japan for the first time, is Ichiran Ramen Japan. It’s the most delicious tonkotsu ramen I had in Japan. I was actually not really the biggest fan of ramen. However, I fell in love with Ramen after my experience with Ichiran Ramen Japan.

I love the unique dining experience in Ichiran. Ichiran is really great for solo travelers as well. The founder of Ichiran specifically made this restaurant so that people will no longer need to worry about dining alone. He first thought of this idea when he noticed his female classmates were shy about eating ramen in public.
This restaurant is perfect for introverts as well since you do not need to interact with anyone. You just need to order your bowl of ramen through a ticket vending machine. There’s also a form that you will need to fill up on what you want on your ramen. Once you are done filling up the form, just place it by the window then you push the button to let the server know.
In our recent one week in Japan trip, our first meal was Ichiran again. This time, we went to the branch in Dotonbori. There was actually a long line but one staff suddenly came up to us to tell us that another staff will lead us to the other entrance. We were able to skip a long line and did not have to wait very long.

I only ordered a bowl of ramen and extra pork on my first visit to Ichiran Ramen. This time, I ordered more side dishes such as boiled egg and matcha pudding. I feel like having a bowl of ramen without an egg is just incomplete.

Ichiran is one of my favorite restaurants in Japan. I feel like a trip to Japan is also not complete without a visit to Ichiran.

Ok, this looks way better than the super cheap ramen noodles I had in college! Iβd love to try the real stuff like this one day. The restaurant model sounds like a great one and easy to order.

I am also not a big fan of ramen but now you have me curious enough to want to try it. It could be I just don’t like the stuff I have access to here and that it is far superior in Japan!

I’ve been craving for ramen for a week now and this all the more makes me want to order online. but what perhaps makes the ramen experience more fun is the thought of eating it there in the diner.

I love ramen so I’m really disappointed in myself for not pursuing a trip to Japan to finally taste Ichiran.
Every photo I see of a friend having a bowl of Ichiran, I get so jealous. So yes, I’m jealous of you NOW.

On the images you’re showing ramen noodles, with a sidedish of what? π
It looks really good, the inner foodie in me is now hungry π

Great idea to make it solo friendly. Does the lack of personal interaction with the staff make the dining experience a little depersonalized?
