A Kawaii Day at Sanrio Puroland Tokyo
Raise your hands if you are a big fan of Sanrio! Tama City also known as the city of Hello Kitty is located somewhere in the western part of Tokyo. There, you’ll find Sanrio Puroland, the perfect place for Sanrio fans.
Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park located in Tama New Town, Tokyo. It is a 30 minutes train ride from Shinjuku and a 60 minute train ride from Tokyo Station.

It was raining when we visited but since it’s an indoor theme park, the rain did not affect our visit. Kids and kids at heart will surely enjoy this park. This theme park is overload with cute characters, rides and shows. There’s also a parade with all the cute Sanrio characters.
They also have a boat ride similar to ‘it’s a small world’ from Disney parks. You can see the house of the Sanrio characters while listening to cute music.

You can also meet the Sanrio characters and take a photo with them too. They would be more than happy to meet and take photos with you. Cinnamonroll is so cute, he is my favorite Sanrio character and I’m so happy I was able to meet him.

There is also a food court inside this theme park. You can have your most kawaii meal here. These dishes are so cute and so adorable to look at but they do not really taste great. I ordered the cinnamonroll dish and it’s only some bread and rice with curry sauce that is in blue color. The Hello Kitty dish is the best option since you have more choices than the other dishes.

There are a lot of shows as well but if you have been to theme parks in Japan, you would know that no photography rule is very common. There are also a lot of kawaii shops here selling Sanrio souvenirs and merchandise.
We actually visited this theme park three years ago, April 2016. There are new attractions now and I can’t wait to go back soon. I hope you enjoyed reading my kawaii experience, are you a Sanrio fan too? Who’s your favorite Sanrio character?

This looks like such a cute, fun park. I love indoor parks since you don’t have to worry about the weather and it’s usually cooler which is always a welcome where I live.

What a colorful place! My kids would just love it, I bet! It reminds me of the ride in Disney World “It’s a Small World.” I love the meals they served too!
Dinka
Oh, so much cuteness in one place. Perfect for a day with the kids! Or without them. Haha! Except for the blue sauce, doesn’t even look attractive to eat, the color is just too artificial. Other than that, I love it. Thanks for letting us know.
Rosey
Aw the food dishes are so cute. This is a place I’d love to take the kids!

This looks like so much fun! I’ve loved Hello Kitty forever.
