Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe : Singapore Food Diary
I just recently heard that the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe in Singapore is permanently closed. It was a one of a kind and unique themed cafe and I am going to miss it. Since I enjoyed my time there, I decided to write a post about this Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe.
I was very fortunate enough to visit Singapore last October 2018 and got the chance to visit this cute and unique cafe. It is not the typical Hello Kitty Cafe that is full of pink and cute foods that does not really taste great. This cafe is unique since they incorporated the national flower of Singapore, which is Orchids into this cafe. It feels like you are dining in a garden with Hello Kitty.
I like Hello Kitty, but I am not really the biggest fan, but I still had a great time. Everyone will have a great time in this cafe, even those who are not a fan.

Right at the entrance of the cafe, you can take a photo with Hello Kitty. This cafe is usually full and there are usually a long line right at the entrance. We arrived at three on a Tuesday afternoon and for that reason, there was no other customers in the cafe.
We got the best seat in the cafe. It is usually the hardest seat to get since everyone wants this particular seat. It is a white hanging chair with some hello kitty design.

There’s another photo spot at the back of the cafe. I took another insta-worthy photo with hello kitty. The design and backdrop changes from time to time.

The food is a bit pricey but you pay for experience too.
I ordered the Kitty meets Benedict since I really love eggs benedict. One has tuna and the other one has ham. I prefer the one that has tuna. The Hello Kitty Spaghetti also tastes really great, I forgot the actual name of this dish.

For drinks, we ordered Cumbermade and Peach Sunrise. Cumbermade is a combination of cucumber, lemonade and soda. Peach Sunrise on the other hand is a combination of lemon ginger honey, peach and soda.

We ordered ‘You’re my Shining Star’ for our dessert. It is a lava cake with strawberry ice cream. The strawberries and raspberries at the sides tastes really great as well.

Overall, the experience was really great. The servers were really friendly as well which made the experience even better. It’s just sad that this cafe has closed its doors.

I’ve been wanting to go to a Hello Kitty! themed restaurant or cafe for some time! We had a pop-up in my city awhile back, but I missed it. It’s too bad this one closed, but at least you got to visit before it did!

It is unfortunate that this cafe closed before we had a chance to experience all of its splendor! Would have enjoyed this!
